Know More About Bed Bugs
TREATMENT- Upon our arrival we will be prepared for fumigation; residence will not be allowed in rooms and areas where the treatment will be held. We will treat every crack, crevice and surface that can be used by the bug as a hideout. These areas will be injected with a residual pesticide. Baseboards, closets, furniture, and bed frames will be fumigated. This process requires people and pets to vacate 4 hours after being concluded. Babies (0-24 months or if still crawling), women who are pregnant, or anyone with respiratory problems must vacate a minimum of 12-24 hours.
REMOVE THE WHOLE BEDDING - Remove the covers, bed sheets, pillow, etc. Put everything in black plastic bags so you can take it to the laundry mat to wash with hot water after the treatment (or place bags in direct sunlight 6-8hrs). By placing these objects in the bags, it eliminates the possibility that bed bugs are distributed in the house.
DISASSEMBLE THE BED - Disassemble the bed, remove the mattress and the base of the mattress and put them standing against the nearest wall. Also remove headboard and footboard, which can be left on the floor.
CLOTHING - Closets, drawers, and dressers MUST be completely empty. Put all the clothes in black bags and take them to wash or place bags in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours.
INFESTED FURNITURE AND OTHER OBJECTS - Move furniture like beds, cribs, sofas, etc. from walls and remove all objects hanging on the walls. This includes photo frames, mirrors, pictures, calendars, clocks, etc. They will be inspected and/or treated by technician. All cabinets, drawers and parapets need to be emptied, they will be treated. This also includes medicine cabinets. Make sure you wash and put everything away in sealed plastic bags. All rugs and mats should be washed well and be put away in sealed plastic bags. If the carpets are too heavy or large to be washed, lay it on the floor without anything on it so that our technician can treat it.
PERSONAL - Personal items must be stored in a box and be removed from any room that is to be treated.
DO NOT - clean for 7-10 days after treatment. If you mop floors or vacuum carpets please do it 2-3 inches away from the baseboards/walls. It is possible that you will find live bed bugs a few days after treatment. It must come into contact with our products in order to be effective. Please wait a minimum of 10-14 days after. If the problem continues, it might be possible that you will have to repeat these steps again to get rid of bed bugs completely.
